thanks

lemans did a good job on his, talk to him. sounded anal though. i've always wanted one done in vynil or leather
They're pretty sweet done in vinyl, Pres....

Jordan - just sand it good and smooth and provided you coat it evenly and completely even Krylon spray paint from Wal-Mart would probably serve your purposes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I wouldn't think you'd need anything special unless you were just wanting to go uber-fancy with it.

Put yeah, sand it... smooth as hell... like stepping up from like 120-400 grit paper. If you spray right on stock MDF... it'll just soak it up and look all splotchy...

So, either sand it... or prime it... or both. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i would reccomend primering it first. Because when you try to paint the end parts of your panels, the paint will just soak right in. Id hit it with a few coats of primer, then like said above, just shoot some wally world paint on it. What i like to use from there is the duplicolor stuff found in the auto section. Then get a couple cans of their clear and your set.

I would bondo the seams

prime with oil based primer,2 coats should do it

sanding inbetween coats w 120-150grit

2 finish coats of industrial enamel, sanding again but with finer paper like 300

sprayed if possible but brushed is ok too

as long as you have a decent china bristle brush for the oil based enamel

I am doing a box like that as we speak for my HT sub....

I own a painting co,so I get the paints wholesale but if you just bought

a quart of each at sherwin williams it wont cost alot, and youll have plenty for

other projects left over...

bondo all seams and screw holes. couple coats of sanded primer. make sure you get the oils and dust off after each sanding. first use prepsol (autobody prep solvent) for the oils and then cheese cloth for any remaining dust. spraying would be best but a thick enamel and a soft brush would work, let it flow smooth. you can even sand between coats of paint. for the clear, i would use a two part epoxy-varnish. it will give a think, deep laquor finish. you can even wet sand (600g or higher) and buff from there.

just get a gallon of paint and roll the shit on and call it a day.

no primer and no sanding, just cheap indoor/outdoor paint
