Pretty much new here, and to car audio in general. I just bought a 13w6v2 in a fisher customs box off someone on the forums. Now comes the hard part. The box isnt carpeted. and Im thinking about giving the box a more cleaner look by paining it. Im not much of a painter either so looking to use spay paint? Any process I should be looking at? any spesifc type of paint?

Thanks in advance.

i round the corners and texture it, then paint it whatever color i need. i did a purple box that way for a girl a while back. looks good except for the color.

flat black looks good with a little texture and a matte clear coat on it.

Varnishes work real well.. I've used it once on a friends box and its was nice and shiny. I use the duplicolor already mixed paint from AutoZone. I spray on 3 coats of the Duplicolor primer and then 3 coats of my color, wet sand 2000grit 1 coat and 4 coats of duplicolor clear, wetsand 2500 grit for any imperfections and bake it over night. I use a DeVilbiss auto HVLP gravity feed spray gun

It looks something like this afterwards:
