hey my used gasket seems to be holding just fine along with my felpro head gasket under 12:1 compression.

If it makes you feel any better, we re-use our head gaskets. We run the valve lash after each 1/4 pass. They have been off and on 500 times.

Personally, its your car, you can paint, stripe, chrome, sponge paint, rhino line, powder coat anything you choose.

Silicone the gasket to the valve cover and spread some white lithium grease on the other side. Works like a charm
