I skipped the eating plan entirily. Like I said in my other post. Im already skinny (9-10% BMI). I dont like cooking and it would be a hassle for me to make those foods. I tried to eat relatively healty with what I had at home. Did not stop me from eating out though.for me, the biggest thing is eating. I know its like 60-70% of the whole "plan" but with 2 kids and wife and I always running to and fro, its tough to eat the right things all the time. Often, its quick, and somewhat nutritional. By no means am I looking for a magic pill, I know it takes work and dedication but I already go to the gym at least 4X a week. Feel I am going in circles sometimes. Think it would be a nice change but then I would miss the change SOON.
What are the workouts like? Daily? Time period? Is it more of a cardio based program with some natural resistance?
As for the workouts. From what I remember ( I completed the program about 5 months ago) Each workout is and hour (+ - a few minutes), except for yoga which is an hour and a half and ab ripper which is a solid 15 minutes. You do a workout 6 days a week every week for 90 days. Day 7 is for rest, but that is optional
You have 4 people on screen. Tony Horton and 3 others. The point of the other 3 is to demonstrate different techniques so you can choose which way you would like to do the exercise. For example, when doing pulls ups/chin ups. You have one dude who is really strong and just busts them out with no assistance. Then you have a girl who does them but with a chair to balance a foot on so you can give yourself some assistence so you can get more reps, or, complete a full chin up/pull up if you are unable to normally. And then the third person is using resistance bands for if you have no place to mount a pull up bar.
In the guide book, there are three different programs - P90X Classic/ P90X Doubles/ P90X Lean. Classic is the normal version which has focuses more on weight lifting and has come cardio , doubles is more intense with two workouts a day if i remember correctly. And P90X lean focuses more on cardio with less weight lifting.
All three of these programs utilize the same DVD's, the only difference is which one is used in the order of things.
Lastly, you can put as much effort into it as you want or as little. They have printout sheets with that have each workout for each DVD that you can jot down the weight you used and how many reps you did. You have options, you could choose to do more weight and less reps or less weight and more reps. Its all you choice and what kind of goals you have. Tony will talk most all the time explaining what happening and why your doing what your doing. He isnt annoying at all in my opinion.
Hope this helps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
