P3 or type R

I have the Nine.1 and was trying to decide between 2 RF P3's or 2 Alpine type R's and what would be be best way to wire them for ohms?

well, hey if you dont want to worry much mate the p3's do pretty fine in a sealed enclosure. Of course i heard them in a coupe, so thats all my friend needed.

My friend had a P3 it sounded great but couldnt handle the power it said. then he got a type R, likes it better. I havent ridden with him much after he got his type R so i havent really geven it a chance to hear it well, but the P3 just seemed to be louder and hit harder than the type R.

from other posts there are alot of people liking the type R's but an equal amount dissing them.

Has anyone heard both of them and would be able to compare.

I've heard both, the type R CAN get louder, but it also sounds like uber ***.At least the P3 sounds somewhat ok.

Type R > P3 I've heard both setups in good installs personally I'd take the R .

I have 2 P3 in a ported box and they take 600 rms nicely. I have them for a year and had never had any problem with them They get loud but their SQ is just average. I also have the Type R but havent installed them yet. I let u know how they compare as soon as I have time to get them in a ported box.
