Overpowered 12's or RMS 15's?

I'm looking for a HARD-HITTING bass, it doesn't however have to necessarily be that loud.

I was thinking about getting 2 kicker CVR12's and running them at 1000 watts rms total (as opposed to 800) or getting 2 kicker CVR15's and running them at recommended RMS wattage.

My amp is rated 1000 watts RMS@14.4 volts, but my battery probably runs about 13, so the rms wattage is probably slightly less than 1000.

So the big question: 100 watts overpowered 12's or 100 watts underpowered 15's?

The CVR's will take your amp with no problem, if you have room and want to hit low go for the 15's.

Ya thanks for the friendliness, but I'll just take it as friendly joke. But just for the record, notice the "" around "2 blocks away." I'm looking for PRECISE, HARD-HITTING subs, and usually that means being able to hear them 2 blocks away when turned FULLY up.

to answer your question do the 15's. its better to have comfortable power

The 15's will get louder, but require a considerably larger box (like double). Do which ever you can fit the proper sized ported enclosure for in your vehicle.
