oh yea, the new US Amps Xterminator are overrated.
As far as underrating goes, you can't beat RF amps

Mmmm boy do I love my RFs, I got a T40001bd and they bench at 4800-4900wrms at 1ohm. Cant beat a free 800-900w.

I would say for over-rated; Kicker, Orion, RF, Sundown, IA, and DD are all great amps

Not to thread jack, but I am just curious what amps use the same board and claim different power outputs. This would be a good gauge for the over /under scale.

The older Brutus line from 2002-2004 I belive were the over rated ones , somebody had a BX1500 tested and it and it only made a little over 900 watts at 1 ohm .
As stated earlier the newer lines do rated power , though I am not sure exactly what changes were made to them .

Boss , Soundstorm , Legacy and other bottom feeding audio companies rate their amps with ILS ratings (If Lighting Strikes) and would NEVER hit their numbers unless you pump a lot of voltage into them .
