Using that amp isn't going to be bad for your speakers. They just won't be as loud as they could be.

The same questions get asked day in and day out...what sub is the best, what 15 is the loudest, what 10 is the best, etc...granted, this subject isnt as overplayed as those.

i do agree that noobs annoy me with dumb questions but, we were all noobs once. so i dont mind helping. if ppl did not help me i would not know what i do now.

its all in the wave, you can throw more than rms at a subwwofer or speaker as long as it isproperly crossed over and your signla is not clipping or it is a nice clean wave the best way is to scope it if you cant scope it turn your amp to 65$-75%/100% or 50% for cheapo amps thats my general rule, and keep the bass boosts and BS to a minimum all they are is distortion.

the only advice you'll get over all the arguing. when using amps that are same rms look at the THD if its high don't use it its distortion when cranked all the way up to potential, and with amps that put out less, youll try to over drive them and end up clipping/distorting your speaker to death trying to get the output you want.

Had a feeling about that. Looking to buy a Soundstream TRX2.210 to match for my JL XR650-CXi's now which is a exact RMS match though the peak of the AMP is higher. Thinking of pulling out a Solid Audio F11 or a MB Quart Discus for my 12w3v3-4 duo mentioned in my sig. Both Sub AMP's run over the RMS of the JL's joined which is the main reason I posted: to see if this would be a problem. Correct me if I'm wrong.
