Over $12K invested. Need alarm/remote start recommendations.

I added up everything I've done to the truck and was very surprised how much money has gone into it in such a short period of time. I thought to myself, I've put all this money into it and not one red cent towards a security system.

Anyhow, I need to protect my big investment with an alarm/security system. Here are some of the features I'm looking for:

-Remote start that either hooks up to the "wait to start" light (preferably or has a delay) as I have a diesel

-Pager/device that alerts me when the alarm is going off

-Lights flash, horn honks, etc. when alarm is activated/deactivated

-Good range

-Alarm warns you if you get too close by either voice or sounds, then after so many warnings, it trips the alarm

-When the alarm is tripped, it will let me know with a device that is with me

-Would like it to retain my keyless entry

-Sensitive so that if anyone bumps it ever so slightly or touches it, it will go off

-Features that will prevent someone from driving away if they successfully break in

-And any other nifty safety/security feature that is out there

Thanks!

the more the merrier...ive got the viper 5900 and i am very pleased with it so far..good rnage )1 mile it says) havent testedt actual distance but most places i go i still have a signal

You need backup batteries. Trust me I can disable both your stock batts and you would not have the slightest idea until you came out the next morning and your shit is gone.

get a good alarm fitted profesionally. no point in a hack job and it not saveing your gear.

good alarm, profesionally installed, with all the bells and whistles is gonna run you,

$1000 +

but its worth every dime.

Anything DEI 990, 5900 are nice run back up batts, if you can do 2 do it with a very very hidden brain, I like Prox sensors they are fun, Multiple sirens/Horn honk is a great thing no matter what don't cheap out!

Basically all an alarm does is slow a thief down. Even the best alarm with all features can be bypassed. Make sure whoever does it solders the connections, hides the brain and if possible hides all alrm wires in factory loom with back-up batteries and sirens in attempts of slowing them down even more. Also you are not going to want the sensetivity that high, its just a bad idea. Dei makes good products as does Compustar. Bottom line if they want it bad enough they will find a way to take it but you can do your best to slow them down so you may as well do it right.
