Question for some of ya'll...

Power conditioners. Fact or fiction on these things? I can get most monster stuff 1/2 off and I'd need some sort of conditioner/surge protecter for this new stuff. Any recommendations? Partial fact. It is dependant on where you live, but some conditioning and surge protection is good to have.

The monster stuff at cost (50%) is a pretty good deal, it is made well and does what it needs to. If you want to get higher end, PS audio and Richard Grey's Power Company products are very well recieved.

Florida, near water, so its bad. We average 7 above-average surges a day according to Florida Power.

And ya, since I wort at CC, monster is dirt cheap. I got the papers signed for 3 of their 1000 series cables, and one of their beefy power centers. Since I saved $1k off retail, the least I can do is upgrade cables and add recommended pieces.

Its definitly too much for my room...not loudness really, just that it vibrates the hell out of my windows.

From my impressions at the store, it played low with authority but didnt overextend itself; with rap or r/b its was badass. Kept up great with a lot of fast drum kicks, wasnt overbearing and hell, if it is with the push of a button you can turn it down; oboard dsp is a nice touch as well.
