Ok, me and my brother are going to each buy 2 "15 L7s. We haven't settled on which amps yet but we will probably get one Hifonics bx1605d per sub. For now we are going to but my 2 subs in my car, and his 2 subs in his car (we both drive '98 Grand Prix's). I will probably have my box ported, tuned to 33hz, with each sub having 3 cubes of air space. When I get a new car I will either sell my Grand Prix and buy a 2nd car to use as a spl vehicle or keep my GP and use that as the spl vehicle. We plan to combine all four of our subs and amps into the one car.

Anyway, I wanted to ask how much money I should plan on having into the install, not including the main things such as the amps and subs. I know i'm going to need to buy:

wood for the box

vinyl to cover the box in

terminals

1/0 gauge wire, distro block, 4 gauge wire, and RCAs

probably 75 square feet of a sound deadener (recomendations needed)

2nd battery and isolator

Is there anything else I forgot????

you will need about 80 bucks for some 0 gauge wiring from knukoncepts.com

Then your box your looking at about 80 at the max if you build it yourself. Now amps though man i would run off some orion 2500d's - 1 for 2 subs, = or i would do 4 1200d's whichever one you like. I think HCaafan has some deals on them - about 1200 shipped for 4 brand new 1200s

i dont know what im talkin about seen it happen to a friend and he went out and bought a capacitor with a digital read out and he never had the problem again and he had 2 L7 10"s i dont know what your problem is.

man all you had to do is tell me isnt that how people learn what right and whats not the least you can do is tell me like it is with out being a dick but see now i know.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I had planned on getting the Vipers but I can get the Hifonics for a really good price through a friend that works at a local shop.

If I bought a yellow top to put in my trunk, would one of those be enough for two of those amps (assuming I have a alternator that can keep up). I would like to keep the battery that I have under the hood, so I would assume I need an isolator. How big of a job would that be doing it myself?

i think youll need about two capacitors to or you will burn up your altinator you can get a pretty good one for about $80 but i wouldnt run it with out those or you will spend more money on altinators than your whole system..

id say about $150 for all the wiring and wood and crap. give or take depending on how stringant on finding deals you are. i got my 0awg fuseblock from frito for $10 shipped. i got my 0awg->4awg mini-anl distroblock for $20 shipped. i got my 0awg for free. $22 for a 4x8 of mdf. maybe $30 for some vynl and 15 for some glue. then screws, drillbits, and woodglue (i already had). maybe a dash kit and wireharness if you dont have a HU installed yet.

id say between 150 and 200 to be safe. but i would prolly only spend like 75 honestly. but i find deals //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
