OSU KICKS ND'S BALLS AND TAKES THE FIESTA Bowl - POOR ORegon

Lets make it really interesting, I think public humiliation is better than some small time bet, so If Notre Dame wins, I will publicly condemn the ducks regardless of how they fare and make it known that the Domers were obviously the better team, but if they lose and the Ducks win- YOU must publicly admit you were wrong and Oregon deserved that game more because they are the better team. We do an entire thread about it so everyone can pile on. Game on?

Oh, so now you're going to tell me what games I've watched and didn't watch?? I never said he isn't a great college quarterback. I'm just saying that he won't make a very good pro quarterback. Vick makes things happen but when defenses make him throw the ball whether its in the pocket or rolling out bad things tend to happen. Carolina figured him out this past Sunday and Carolina won the game. they made him throw the ball and he got picked.
But hey, I'm sorry that the guy you think is GOD at quarterback truly isn't that great. Regardless of his mechanics he AIMS the ball and no one has ever been successful when they're AIMING the ball which is what I was getting at earlier before it got into an in depth conversation about mechanics. I wasn't really talking about mechanics as much as I was aiming.
That's exactly what I'm talking about; the aiming. He's done much much less of that this year than he did last. I would have agreed after last year and even at times during the beginning of this year, but he's a completely different QB nowadays.

As far as his being "GOD," I certainly wouldn't go that far. However, he's one HELL of a clutch player, and that does go a long way. The guy simply wins. That's something will serve his very well in the NFL.

Let's not go that far, practically every single QB that's been a bust was a proven winner on the college level. He's still got a lot of things he needs to work on.

I saw him aiming the ball in the game against Colorado. He still aims the ball. I never saw him play last year until the Rose Bowl so I can't say what he did last year.

He is one hell of an athlete but NOT a very good passer to say the least. If he played for a smaller school or a school that didn't have a very good program all his weaknesses would show up more. He plays on a GREAT team and that is why he looks so good.

This is a terrible argument. Aside from the fact it's all speculation, it's very possible that things would be the opposite, as his talent and athleticism could allow him to dominate the weaker schools, regardless of how poor his squad is. Besides, the whole concept of football is that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. He makes his teams weak WR corps look better, while their defense shuts other teams down so the offense isn't forced to play catch-up. All this nonsense about him "aiming the ball" or "having bad mechanics" doesn't mean shit - he's a great football player, he's becoming a better passer every time he steps on the field, he completely changes how defenses prepare for them, and when the team needs him to make big plays - both with his legs and his arm - he gets the job done. There's not much more you can ask from a guy that's like 21 years old. Why do you always feel the need to talk shit about him?

Why do you always feel the need to put him on a pedestal?? Because its my opinion genius, thats why. You don't have to like my opinion just as I don't have to like yours. Let me ask you this. Why do you have to over analyze this? Ask yourself that.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif

It's called a debate.

Why do you always feel the need to put him on a pedestal??
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Look throughout this thread where I've said he's got a lot to work on. All I'm saying is he's not the piece of shit you make him out to be.

Because its my opinion genius, thats why.
And I'm trying to see if you actually have anything of importance to say that would validate your opinion, which of course you don't. You've already admitted you never saw him until the Rose Bowl last year, and you've only see a couple games this year, yet you constantly talk trash about the guy just because he's a "running QB"

You don't have to like my opinion just as I don't have to like yours. Let me ask you this. Why do you have to over analyze this? Ask yourself that.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif
You were the one who started going in-depth about his mechanics and aiming the ball and all this. I gave you a different point of view, and now you resort to the classic "its just my opinion you dont have to like it" defense, which we all know means "I have no idea what I'm talking about"

Since when is saying he won't make a good pro calling him a piece of shit??

I do know what I'm talking about on this. I've seen too many of these "running quarterbacks" come out of college and never see ANY playing time or are absolutely horrible and lose their jobs. And Young is the same thing - different year.

Its not my fault you can't get what I say through your enormously thick skull and huge ego. Get over yourself Gauntlet.

So tell me again how you know how many Texas games I've seen this year?? I must have missed that part of your soap box rant.

I'm not gonna track down every single quote, but in every college football thread you go out of your way to talk shit about every QB that can run. You've done plenty of it in this thread; for example, just a few posts up you said the only reason people think he's good is because he's lucky enough to play on a great team.

Because Vince Young is just Tommie Frazier part 2, right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

First, it wasn't a rant. I'm trying to have a debate with you, but all you can muster is "durrrr QB's that run ****". Onto your question, it's simple deductive reasoning. You've clearly missed all the games this year where he shown that he can pass. (OSU, first Colorado game, Oklahoma, Kansas). As I've said before, he's got plenty to work on, but to say he will **** as a pro because he "aims" the ball, or that he sucks just like all the other QB's that can run, is plain stupid.
