Orion hcca 15", anyone else waiting?

I have mine on order from a local dealer. Anytime I can help support local retailers I will, as long as I can get a deal.

I am paying $525 each out the door. The whole thing was is that the deadline kept getting pushed back and I wanted to know if someone actually knew something that they did'nt, because I am willing to look at alternatives

I have looked at other subs, but it seems that for a comparable sub I would have to spend much more. The fact that I can recone the sub with ease and having a sd of 149in also makes them very attractive to me.

I can't do comparisons, and I am in no way a nut hugger, but Ian the "Iceman" can bust out 153db at 20hz with 6 of these, now to me that is way more impressive than 160db at 40-50hz.

I really like the bass response down around the 30hz range and for the price I know these subs are gonna give me what I want.

I already have the amp I'm gonna run them with and if I need another 1 I will buy it and it's not an orion, even tho 1 of those models on each sub would work just fine, I don't want the hasle of 4 amps.

Seriously if someone has a suggestion about a very comparble sub in every aspect for $525 out the door I'm all ears.

I do still have a system in my truck so I'm not bassless yet lol.

Thanks

Not big enough either. I'm sure they are good subs, but I want big coils dual 2ohm that will produce high levels of sound pressure and take 2-3000w on music whenever I desire. 1 of the other things that is good about the hcca 15 is the size, it's 1 of the largest 15" cone subs out for that price, same sd as a ss xxx according to specs.

I'm listening, and would like to see alternatives, however I do not know all the other brands out there. But please remember, I would wanna look at something comparable in every aspect including the ease of reconing.

Thanks, Russ

this sub does all that & more, not sure what these cost out there retail (to buy retail you must be insane), but if its close to the HCCA's price i'd go AA

I have looked at these before and honestly they are not comparable in every aspect. Yes they are rated at 2500wrms, thats about the only thing comparable that I can see from the specs.

Thanks, Russ

Hcca>9515 IMO. What does the DD have that the hcca doesn't? The hcca has drop in Recones and is cheaper while handling the Same if not more power. Plus have you seen the price of a new 9515? Outrageous
