I'd go with an Rd heavyweight orOk looks like it's gonna be at least the begining of June before they are gonna be available. I've decided I can't wait any longer, my order was placed Feb. 28th and now it's May 2nd and I gotta do something. So I beleive I'm gonna go with the DB Drive PLT15WD D2ohm older subs that I've found on the bay. I would think they are gonna be a decent sub for the money. Only problem I found is there is little specs out there to find to review.Just thought I'd post what info I do have about the orion's and my thoughts of going with the db drives. Russ
Why are we pretending a btl will handle more power than an hcca? Lulzall that shows is that 6 of them can handle 15k.
a guy around my area is running 6 btl 15s on 6 saz 3500s (21k) also keeping mid 150s down into the 25hz range.
its a b pillar wall in a scion xb.
and yes it will do a killer hairtrick as well.
never said it will. just stating that his vid proves nothing. Why are we pretending a btl will handle more power than an hcca? Lulz
The hcca can take 4k daily.
If you did that to 4 hccas with 4k then there was something very wrong.![]()
HCCA's VS. 4K ^^^^^
Fact: 3" coil can handle 1200W continuous (sine wave forever) 4" coil can handle 1600W continuous....after that they will all fail it's all a matter of time.
IMO mechanically they are overbuilt and rugged as hell and good sounding, but the coils are a bit anemic compared to many I've played with that are rated to handle a lot less power.
Would you think 3500 would be ok thermally?OK, good luck to you at 4K. Mechanically they can handle it no problem, but those coils really didn't like it.
