i used to compete with h2 12.2's with two 1200d's strapped to each @ 1 ohm. I suggest running 1000-1500w for daily driving, if you can find an Orion 1200d its literally a marriage made in heaven. I've hooked many buddies up with H2 10.2 or 12.2 and 1200d combos and its really loud and sounds good and they are happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I don't plan on going that high with it,just most subs can only handel half of the peak power.I just bought it yesterday from a guy who never hooked it up.its brand new and I don't know much about the h2.so my mtx ta81001d should work good on this sub?Its rated at 1500 rms at 2ohm,but ran 1860 on the birth sheet.I will only have it up 2\3 of the way

i have that same amp and i wouldnt want to run it too too high. When I had my two 2500d's one per 12.2 they would get smelly quite quickly when i wailed on them full tilt... be conservative with the amp until you get a feel for the sub its pretty stout, expect good things //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Set the gains with a DMM and you should be fine they bang at 1400-800 watts I had some that ran off a 2500d and the were loud as hell off only 800 each. hittin 140 dbs
I was doing 150.3 at the dash with my two 12's and a 153 and change at the kick on a TL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif 140, well congrats on that...

Off 800 watts on the dash? Stock electrical? It was your 1st daily setup?

you make it sound like there was two or more subs getting 800 watts each, so comparitively speaking you may not be as far off as you think. and 140 is good, that was my goal for many years and it took about 3 to accomplish it, and this is back in the old ac180 days //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I agree with CRX.... it can take 2500 watts but you have to be careful with it. A little more fool proof setup would be 1200-1800 watts. I ran an Orion 2500d at 1 ohm to an H2 12.2 and it survived but I dont think it's ideal especially when they cant be reconed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I have two amps,A mtx ta81001d rated at 1500 rms, rand 1860 rms and rockford fosgate power T10001bd rated at 1000 rms and ran 1360 rms.whitch one should I use?
