Well I got this beast hooked up to see what it can do to my Brahma 15. It is running at a 1 ohm load. I'm pretty sure I have the gains set correctly. I set the head unit to the highest "daily" level and turned up the gains until it got to the point where I was not getting additional output from the Brahma... then backed off slightly. With it set like this, pushing the Brahma pretty hard, it gets pretty warm in 2 minutes flat. This is on a good rap or bass track. Within 3-4 minutes it is real hot. It won't burn your skin after 3-4 minutes but you don't want to touch it for long. Is this normal, or should I back off some? I can up the RCA input voltage for this amp on my US Amps crossover, then turn the amp gains down. I also don't have the amp crossovers set as I'm waiting on the owner's manual to come in before I fool with that. Would either of those steps help keep the temp down? The amp only gets hot to the left of the Orion logo, close to the RCA input and output jacks.
