orion 2500D concerns

i bought a 2500d for kingofdaparkinglot.......its great and im quite happy. my problem is that i cant even blow a 50amp tube fuse? could this be that i still only have 4 gauge wire and its choking the power supply down. its louder to the ear for sure, just thought that was wierd. im running the amp at 1 ohm with a rise of 3ohm or so... it has duel power and ground inputs. when i do go to straight 1/0 will that make the difference?

if its wired at 1ohm and wont blow a 50 amp fuse its obviously not putting out any sory of power....the 50amp fuse is what i compete with at meca shows

if your rising to 3-4 ohm.... the amp will be running STUPID effeciant, but wont put out a ton of power.

Just wait until it can be tested before you bunch up your panties =)

It doesnt matter if he's getting 150 volts out of the amp, if he's rising to 12 ohms, he'snot getting power.

This is what makes setting the gain with a DMM useless.

I think you missed my point? Voltage alone means shyte without an actual load.

No, I got your point. And yes I realize they arent going to put out 150v.. I was just suggesting that if he got himself a DMM and checked the terminals, they might be putting out some crazy low numbers... Just a thought.

And just for my personal information, is it possible to figure out the actual impedance that the amp would see?
