Optima's Red Top > Yellow Top?????

Still does here in Arlington, like 120/130, and yellow tops are about 145$ I think?

I know. I just went there to check, and they were a few bucks more than Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has the 34/78 which Costco didn't.

Well, I'm too lazy to search for you, but the summary of his post was that deep cycle batteries typically have a much slower rise time (much slower to respond to current demands) and have a higher internal resistance than regular batteries.

If your battery will be taking large voltage hits a lot, it is MUCH better to get a deep cycle.

red and yellow tops are usually about the same price maybe 10 dollars diff

when i bought my redtop at sears there was about a $30+ difference. btw i didnt replace my main battery, my red top is in my trunk.

I like the way the yellows perform. Ive had mine for my main battery for 2 years, and it works great.

Red top is more is less of a deep cycle so if you never run your system with your car off a red top is better for you, plus they have a 3 yr warranty over the yellow tops 1 year. Yellow is meant for use when your car is off. Go red. I got one and its awesome. Either way, buy an optima at costco and when your warranty is almost up, bring it back and they will give you a new one NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Costco is LEGIT lol

Ive always heard that.

Yellow tops if your runnign stereo and stuff with the car off

Red top for starting and general usage.

Never really found out the reason WHY. Or which is truly better.

I have a redtop under my hood. I'll only be pushing sub 2k Watts so hopefully it's enough.
