Optimal wiring for my subs.

Hey all,

New here and building a fully custom audio system for my 95 extended cab nissan mini.

I have some old gear, waiting to replace currently but I need some advice on the best way to wire them since I know there are good and bad ways.

First I roll with two 10" pioneer subs (model TS-W250R) they are 500w max 120w nom. 4 ohm rating.

The amp pushing these is a 2-channel pioneer 760w max amp (model GM-5100T). it has load impedance capacity of 2-8 ohm in stereo.

What is the best way to connect the subs so they hit hard and sound crisp? Many thanks to all!

well parrellel will get ya a 2ohm load but series wit get a 8ohm load

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=2&woofer_imp=1

that amp is only

Continuous Power (4 ohm) 125W x 2

Continuous Power (2 ohm) 190W x 2

Continuous Power Bridged (4 ohm) 380W x 1

i wouldnt go wit the setup personally imo doesnt make for a good match, would be underpowering the subs if the specs on them are right. best thing is just bridge the amp at the 4ohm on 1 sub. want to use other buy a 2nd amp and do the same to it.

Thanks for the info, I am not real knowledgeable about this but I am trying to learn it all.

So what kind of amp specs should I be looking for to replace my current. If possible, I would like to run a single amp for both subs but if I need two, it can be done.

something that would be 2ohm stable since you can only get your subs in 2ohm wired in parallel

if the subs can truely take up to 500w each try finding an amp that can do about 750-1000X1 @ 2ohm i guess

i personally just dont see many ppl running SVC 4ohm subs nowadays they always running DVC(Dual Voice Coil) 4ohm

check out some local shops would be my suggestion tho might be able to get a good deal sometimes or check some classifieds
