Opions Diamond or Memphis

I have a Diamond D5 600.2 for my fronts and a Memphis 16MC-1000D for my sub.

I want to run the same brand amp mostly for looks.

Would you get the Diamond D5 1200.1 or the Memphis 16-MC300.

I have a IDMAX 12 going in a sealed box and Polk MOMO 5x7 but I'm looking to upgrade to some components eventually.

I have owned both brands and I prefer Diamond by far.....

D5 and D6 amps are also USA made while similar priced Memphis amps are made in Korea(they should be cheaper if made overseas)

Memphis is rated at exactly to what they say they produce while DA is very underrated

I would go with the diamond of the 2 models that you showed. I have had bad luck with memphis, personally.

I have a Diamond D5 600.2 as well but theyre way bigger than Memphis amps and cost more. What's the price difference between the two?

I just bought a D3 400.2 for my comps and will get a matching D3 600.1 for my IDMAX.

If you want a matching D5 600.2, send me a PM. IDMAX's dont want/need more than 1000w.

I bought a pair of memphis amps (mc1000d and mc2004) the 2004 would get hot and shut off and not make any volume from the time I installed it. I took it back to the authorized dealer that I bought them from and they said "yes, we will ship it back for you", when I said that is bullsht, I will throw them away before I ship a brand new amp back to the dealer. I just bought it and it needs to be traded out. They responded that they would have to call memphis to ok a trade out. then I said dont worry about it, I will just get rid of them and use a different brand.

I ended up selling them to my brother in law for $600 with a like new memphis m3 15 along with a custom built box. At the same time I bought the amps I bought fuse and distrobution blocks and on one of them the threads were bad from the factory. So for me I will never buy another memphis product.

by the way they did repair the amp and send it back to my brother. I have no doubts that they stand behind their products its just that I have had too much bad memphis taste in my mouth already

i have the d3 600.1 goin to my eclipse sub i love it runs cool and i abuse the hell out of it
