Just curious why do you want passive? Also why 15" or 18"? The arent known for SQ nor can they keep up with most media? Whats your budget?

I'd like passive radiators to save on space and because going with a regular port (sometimes adds port noise) and I want it to sound as clean as possible. 15's and 18's can keep up and sound just as good as 10's and 12's. My budget is somewhere around $500-$600.

Two IDMAX sealed 1.5 each = Loud + SQ

I was thinking about those along with the JBL GTI's but I'm not sure they'll get around the 148dbs I'd like to get to.

luis just get a bunch of SA8's.....but really do option 2 and then if its not enough go to option 3

I have also thought about a lot of smaller subs but I don't know if 8's can get as low as low as I'd like. That vid is pretty badass though, I wonder how it sounds.

Go look at my wifes Cavalier. It goes to 22 no problem and when I want SQ, it plays that just fine too.

Those are strictly SPL subs though. I'm looking for really good SQ along with good power handling. I know it's hard to get those 2 things together but I'd like to get as close as possible. The Nightshade I've read sounds pretty good and the PSI's I know I can have custom built to sound pretty good.

WRONG. They are not strictly SPL. I run mine daily. Sounds great.

But id get the Nightshade or Death Penalty if you dont want a Warden.

8"s will get lower than you think too. Get 6 SA-8's and tune to 32.
