Hey I have a guy that after lots of discusing says that a Rockford T212d2 would be very good for me. Now he is a pro box builder, comp winner and everything and he's planning to build a box for 1 for me..

I have an eD Nine.1 amp for now so about 1300ish watts to work with

Now, Whats you opinion on the T2...is it a good compramise of sq and spl even though its regarded as a ? It is supposed to sound VERY good in the box he'll put it in....and also be extremely loud. I'm coming from 2 13W6s, so wondering how much less SQ i'll get.

But would there be something better to get in the $3-500 range that would be better, that would fit in a ported box with about 3.4ft^3 gross, and a sub that LOOKS good too? The FI Q just looks fugly to me:crap:

Thanks

2 13W6's are better than anything Rockford makes. Unless you are an SPL nut. Those 2 13's ported should make the hair on your balls shake if you have them installed right.

Well, that's the problem I definatly don't have the trunk space to port both. So it's a single sub...1 13w6 wouldn't make my ball hairs shake in the right box, would it?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

With this T2 I'll supposedly be able to knock off 2 13w7s...as far fetched as it sounds, I believe him after listening to his trunk:eyebrow:

I've heard the T2 is roughly comparable to Pioneer's 3000SPL's. I wouldn't go with rockford simply because of the fact that they are so overpriced.
Is that the only reason? I can get that T2 for about $300. Is a T2 going to be...say louder then a single 05 RE XXX, or FI Q?

r u serious?

i haven't heard the T2's yet but i heard they are suppose to be more sq subs compared to the P3s and such...

well, tsw3k's are $140 new shipped...so about 1/2 the price...

and imo the Q's are daym sexy...

If you can get it that cheap, jump on it. Those T2s are almost indestructible. I have had one T2 15 on a 1501BD for over a year and a half and haven't had any problems. I paid $600 for my 15, so $300 is dirt cheap.

Ok....I'm also thinking something else...RE audio MX or a T2? Which is louder, which souns better, or are they comparable?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I've thought it over...and am still wondering would a RE MX, or even a XXX have better SQ while still getting as loud, or almost?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

JL and RF are kinda over priced.....
i would say to go with FI....more bang fo ur buck...

but u said they look "fugly".....
I'm not jumpin on the bandwagon....and yes, to me the FI's cone is the normal, fugly cone design I just don't like.
I want to know about the woofers themselves, not the prices....please:uhoh:

The RE MX will be a good choice also. I bet you can find an MX for about $470 and the T2 for about $420.

But with the power you have the T2 will make use of it better. Go with the T2.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
