Opinions on nissan altima/maxima

Ive been lookin at 03/04/05 altima's and maximas (both with the 3.5l) and was wondering if anyone on her has had good or bad expierences with the 3.5l or the car itself? Is it honestly worth the upgrade over the 2.5l?

the brand new altimas are faster and look better.. yes nissan makes awsome cars, and we have a maxima right now and runs awsome at 160xxx and its pretty fast for stock car.. people dont know how fast low 14's really is

i had a 02 3.5 altima and i miss that car like jesus misses pie...to bad i got into too much trouble with it and got i yanked...but now i have my truck and its too slow to get into trouble with haha

Yeah thats one thing, it might get me in a lil bit of trouble so ill see how the 2.5s is and compare.

Is there anything different about the interior/body between the 2.5 and 3.5 models?

im a american car guy but nissan's are sweet ( most, neways) , especualy the 05 maxima...mmmmmmm..by far the best asian cars

yeah the 3.5 will be made with some better materials leather and crap, but basicaly the interior will be the same, maybe a better radio or some crap you dont want if ur gunna rip it out anyway. i drove my friends 2.5s and i was surprise by the power, not extremely fast but i got the tires to burn a few times, both my 3.5 and his 2.5 were sticks...i miss my 3.5 haha i loved the look on ricer civics when i blew past haha man if i had that car, by now it would be turboed and NOS and jesus the $6000 i spent on my truck over the year ive had it would have been in that engine/****** haha...**** it now i miss my baby haha

I would highly recommend getting a Maxima instead. The 5th generation Maxima has a 3.0 VQ DEK engine and is quick as shit; this year spans from 2000-2001. The 5.5 generation Maxima boasts 265hp and a 6-speed manual transmission and is fast...REALLY FAST...and has HIDs, stock. My main home on the web is Maxima.org, I highly suggest you parouse the site before you buy, you can learn ALOT about the car there. I also recommend getting a manual over an auto any day of the week. PM me if you have any other questions. I have killed countless riced out Civics, Integras, Eclipses, and the like - and I am running a stock engine. There are a TON of mods you can do to this car. I am 110% satisifed with my Maxima. the driver of the Altima must have missed a gear or something because there is no way a stock 3.5 Maxi can take down a 3.5 Altima in a straight 1/4 race.....

perhaps you are thinking of a 2.5 Altima?
