What's considered competition subwoofers? is there actually a brand thats perticually for competition only, or are there specs which meet competition standards?

what can a system have to be worthy enough to be in a competition is my question. never went to one, nor had a system worthy enough to be entered into one.

oh... and another question *yes, don't hate me*

are *VOLFENHAG ZX-4712 DVX any good? i was thinking about buying 2 of them. they are only 500rms i believe. i looked at the specs. i think they are good for the price. but at the same time, i'm not sure what to look at in terms of specs, and whether or not its good for the money.

Since you're relatively new at this, work on a sufficient daily driver setup before dabbling into competitions. But, if you can, attend some comps. to see what goes on and to see what you would be potentially facing.

And the Volfenhags are relatively bad subs. And by bad, I mean thoroughly. What are you looking for - loudness or sound quality? What exactly do you need (i.e. do you have an HU), and what is your price range?

Honestly, I'm trying to go for both... but if I have to choose, I'm going for quality over loudnesss. but i want it to be way over the loudness over stock or even with coaxials alone before subs.

i don't necessairly have a price range per-say. since a lot of you are good in this field. i thought maybe for a decent setup. maybe throw me a few ideas for a good system... brands maybe or rms and amp specs i should go with. so i could work my way up into getting a system i'll enjoy

evently i want to get into competition, but i'm starting from the ground up with the knowledge it takes to get that good. so any advice, ideas, or what have you will help out much. tnx.

As far as all around system, well lets see..

I go with the best, Alpine headunit, MB quart or Boston Acoutics interior speakers, couple JL amps and a couple 12w7's.

You are going to need some install know how or find a good installer somewhere. The installion is probably the most important part of the whole system.
