Opinions on matching amps?

For as long as I have been in car audio, I have had this thing about matching my amps. I dont always do it but it drives me crazy. I know alot of it is just looks related but I think a 2/4ch that matches the mono block looks so much cleaner.

Who else likes to match their amps and who just doesnt care as long as it works? I'm curious how many are like me.

mine will match....partially...all phoenix gold components and amps...and then different on the sub(s) and sub amps....you wont know the brands since everything is going to be board only (viewable)

I think it looks nice, and having the same dimensions of heatsinks can make designing amp racks easier, but I wouldn't pass up getting a better amp just to make a matching set...

Hidden. Stealth multi kW systems are my specialty. Only way you can tell there is a system in the vehicle is if you open the trunk in the case of a car, and the small front switch to turn it on.

i always had my amps matching as far as looks or brand, now days i just want good sound so i don't care what amps i run or if they are mix matched.

while I like matching amps, its not so much a necessity that I have to do it. my amps are usually hidden anyways. if I do a real pretty install tho, I generally have matching amps
