Opinions on JY HP-40

So I read on JY powers website that the HP-40 supports 4000 watts as a standalone. I'm running about 4000 watts, can I run my stock alternator and a regular battery with the HP-40 in the back and keep my voltage above 12ish?? I would get a high output alternator but Im getting a new vehicle when I get the money.

My hp-40 was one of the first batch. No issues so far. I'm running 5k with a 320a alternator.

Iraggi alternator lets you trade in your alternator if you get a different vehicle, but why are you spending a grand on a battery if you're saving for a vehicle?
