im guessing here, but i believe the larger the VC the harder it is to maintain SQ. it increases things like distortion, inductance, etc.Always heard they were a bit delicate with the small coil. Why did they notPut a 3in on a higher end sub i wonder?
I think your right, I'd just think after all the power issues ppl have had they would go to 2.5im guessing here, but i believe the larger the VC the harder it is to maintain SQ. it increases things like distortion, inductance, etc.
2.5 VC should have been used. AE AV uses 2.5" VC and its rated for 1000 watts and john has only had 1 report of one blowing, and it was due to them sending 2k to it if i remember correctly.

well ive never used any ID product, but they have been around a while. I would think the sub could take a true clean 1000 watts just like its rated.I think your right, I'd just think after all the power issues ppl have had they would go to 2.5
Not true at all.they are a great sub and very eff just gotta becareful with the power on them with only a 2" coil. used in good shape worth about $150,200tops...
