Opinions on best subwoofer for SQ (Type R, Boston G5, etc...)

Forgot to mention the amp he has that wouldnt do much for a w7 or type X.....

Hey thanks for all the responses....

I'm potentially buying from Crutchfield, not Best Buy...

The MRD-M605 is well-regarded 400-600W Class D amp. Surely enough juice for a single 10" subwoofer in a sealed box. Remember I'm not to win IASCA comps here, just provide some decent non-earth-shattering bass.

IF I got a pair of G5s, the second G5 would end up costing somebody about $175 plus shipping.

I'd be building my own enclosure. I've got the tools and the experience with MDF, it's not a big deal.

What about the Boston 12.5LF I've already got? Any opinions on that? A little bigger and older than I was originally planning on, but what I've managed to find about it indicates it was pretty well-regarded in its day.

The Type R is da best subwoofa eva. It is the loudest and the best sounding. At its price point, I can't believe that all other sub companies haven't went out of business yet.
