An opinion is a believe that someone has. It may have evidence backing it up, but even with said evidence it can't be proved.

of course it can be proven. people have bad ideas all the time. people also use old ideas that have already failed, and rely on other people to be ignorant enough to still give credibility to that opinion.

A belief is generally subjective. If it can be proven with evidence, it is a fact or a statement.

Why do people feel the need to have an opinion about everything? If I'm uneducated, or simply unprepared about a topic/subject/whatever, I have no problem saying I don't have an opinion (or simply saying I'm not informed enough to make an educated opinion on said subject). Maybe someone could shed some light on this for me? Is this a human nature sort of thing?
I've always seen it as, the people who have the most opinions are generally the least educated. While more of the people I have found that don't have an opinion (edit: on everything), or a strong opinion, know what they're talking about. It doesn't make you less of a "man" or person to simply not have an opinion on something, we all can't know everything.
