My kid brother has a 2001 Cadillac Deville with the base stereo with the high quality sub in the rear deck. It has finally crapped out so I disconnected it so he didn't have to hear buzzing the entire time the radio is on. He wants me to just throw something back in there just so he has some kind of bass for the time being. I measured the factory sub and it's a DVC 2ohm setup. I was thinking about just throwing a Dayton Audio SD270A-88 10" DVC in for now (DVC 8ohm). He doesn't want to spend a lot of money as he will be going to boot camp some time soon.

I figured since it's and 8ohm setup it it will run fine off the amp without issues??? Any ideas or something else recommended to just throw in there??

I really think he doesn't want to spend more than $60 or so. If not already stated it would be mounted in the stock location on the read deck.

Check out the Rockford Fosgate R2D2 10 on sonicelectronix. It's $54.95 and it will deffinatly get the job done. If your bro doesn't mind bumping the price to $69.95 there's an Alpine SWS-1023D on sonic and it would deffinatly jam!
