I am not a professional installer by any means so some stuff will be literally LOL but it will all get cleaned up in the end.

It sounds fairly good now. Lots of breakup in the top end of the volume spectrum. Poor midbass response.

I'm not impressed by the super low bass of the 12's but kickdrums are RAZOR sharp, literally every note from the JL's is flawless. Even the fastest kickdrums come out.

Some other stuff is a full roll of RAAMat to go in the cab. The big three will come this summer during a timing belt/waterpump change.

will you be fiberglassing the upper dash for a flush look for those speakers on em?
I am not sure yet. There is so little room on the dash that the planar tweets might end up somewhere on the doors in a little fiberglass mini pod.

LOVE your HU man!! Looks good!
Jon
Thanks. I like it too, only thing is it doesn't like burned CD's very much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

Putting in the HU took the least amount of effort of all of the system... Putting in that was like assembling a Lego set.

hot glue FTW!!!!! saved my *** countless times, in various projects.
looks good anyways!
Yeah, tacky in theory but not so bad in practice. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I wub hot glue, more than I shoud really...

Basically I held on to the subs for 12 months before putting them in a decent vehicle (tha truck), and the box BARELY fit without taking out the seats. It was a real treat to get some bump after a year with nothing.

Do u plan on putting any more power to your subs? I know they r V1's but those things can hold almost triple that RMS wattage? I bet they sound sweeet in there!!

No. They are sharp sounding and excessively loud if not held down. It's nice, I have the -12db setting on the amp, and from the drivers seat I can reach easily back and hit the switch and take off the attenuation an it's like a NOS button for my subs. They wang quite nicely.

how hard was it to get the midbass in there? Any cutting or anything?
I just took a pliers and bent the sheet metal into the door until the speaker fit... It's a close fit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I have a bad feeling I will have to cut the door panel itself some to mount it, the 7" might interfere with how it goes on.

6k FTMFW!!!!!!!

yeahhhh

ranger xlt!!!

how much does the truck shake from them 3 downfiring

and you dont have to take the saets out to put the box in

just put one seat all the way forward.. and the other all the way back

then stand the sumbitsh up behind the saet thats forward and pull the other seat up and lay the box down

seems complicated.. but better than taking the seats out imo

awsome set up
