I voted for the JL's, but then again I curently use ported W6V2s, so I'm biased, plus I've never actually heard any RE subs in person.

I use to run a pair of 13W6v2's of an ed 9.1, and it sounded great. Box was around 1.4-1.6 cubes per woofer tuned to 34htz.

It was per sub, and they don't need much space to get loud. I was metering a 143.xx all day with them in my benz, which the trunk is super-sealed off. Just if I would've at least had a folding back seat, it could've been much louder....
