Well in my old car I thought my left front speaker was going bad.

Today I transferred my head unit into my new car and now Im getting VERY LITTLE sound out of my front left speaker (same one as old car). The only thing linking the two is the headunit.

What can be causing this? Is there any simple fix?

I was originally going to put new coaxials in tomorrow but find that might be a waste if the HU isnt sending sound to the front left one.

Would a set of comps off a small amp fix it since it would be off amp and not HU power?

Any help appreciated. Thanks guys.

It is probably that output on the head unit. Try hooking it up to the right front speaker and see if it does it to that one too? With the right front power to the left front speaker. Yes, if it is the amp in the HU that is doing this, a new amp and components will fix your problem.

This may be a stupid question but...

Can I change the left front and left rear hookups?

In other words wire my FL Speakers to my RL output and vice versa?

IDK if your interested but I've got a pair of infinity references 6822cf & a panasonic cq-rx400u headunit for sale. works PERFECTLY and has plenty of options, look up the specs. front access usb/aux for ipod play, charges ipod, only 6 months old. Have original boxes, wiring harness, etc. PM me if interested.

bring your headunit to a shop and have them hook it up to an amp so you dont push out the money for an amp and comps and find out your headunits broken.

and yes you can switch the channels, (left and right) won't cause too much of a problem unless you use the balance feature
