Does anyone know anything about the fan and temp controler he mounted in the dash?
Any links or specs?

As noted, this is a device made for computers. It controls fan speed (for 4 fans) and monitors the readings from up to four temperature probes. I'm not quite convinced that its usefulness warrants such a central location in the install.

That kind of "spare time" is called either unemployed, poor little rich kid, or professional installer that let the rest of the shop's installs get handled by someone else while he worked on his own car on the company dime.

I can appreciate the anal retentiveness, but there comes a point where you are gaining absolutely nothing and actually getting in your own way. He passed that point before he even started...

Ok i did a little research, his FOUR amps should have costed him $773 each, the subwoofer shoulda been $467, and i bet the head unit is $1,200 MSRP....****.
