I currently have 2 kicker 12" cvr's with 5 channel kicker amp running them. The box I am going to build is 53" wide X 17" tall X 15" deep. It will be slot ported and tuned to 32hz. The amp is pushing 350/400 watts to the sub channel depending on the ohm load.

Would I be better off running the 2 12's or is there a 15" that would sound better.

i think that u should know by now that ppl dont respond very well to these type of threads.. or in this case.. NOT AT ALL

the reason is....

do a "search"

OR

be a little more specific than BEST 15" sub at 350/450 rms.... cuz i can come in and tell ya to get a $3000 15" something

so

what have we learned?

man, the OP mustve really bugged this guy.

OP, this is the easiest way to explain it, I'm basically just summarizing.

You're probably not going to get much better than your two CVR 12's.

Two 12's have more cone area than a single 15" woofer.

With two woofers, if you end up upping the power, you have more options. Two CVX's take about 1500rms, one 15" cvx can only take what, 1000? Tu comprende?

My only suggestion would be to upgrade your amp to a 4 channel + a sub amp and go ahead and up the power/better subs in a good enclosure.

yeah.. i lurk in the shadows and pounce when i see something retarded that needs to be addressed
I appreciate your honesty jaboran. When someone is looking for answer they should go to the best place that would give them one. So you are saying that I should stick with what BB or CC sales reps tell customers. I think that most of the people on this board are alot smarter than the previous people I mentioned including yourself. Thanks for your response. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I do want to thank all the people that gave positive advice.

There are no more CC reps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
