OMG whats wrong with my setup!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

The problem occurred when i installed my old setup in my new car, the bass is about a tenth of what it used to be. fyi The old car was using a line output converter. So as a last resort i bought a new amp and new sub hoping for the best... still nothing, speakers sound great, sub has barely any output.

1) Made sure the subwoofer output is ENABLED in the pioneer headunit menu?2) Set the subwoofer output level higher in the pioneer headunit menu?

3) Tried changing the subwoofer PHASE from normal to reverse or vice-versa on the pioneer headunit menu?

4) Tried setting the subwoofer crossover cutoff frequency higher in the pioneer headunit menu?

5) Tried increasing bass boost on the pioneer headunit menu?

6) replace the RCA cables from the back of the pioneer headunit to the sub amp?

7) tried grounding the RCA rings to the pioneer headunit chassis with a piece of wire to see if the internal pico fuse blew?
1 - yes subwoofer is enabled on the headunit

2 - yes subwoofer level is on 6 on the headunit(max)

3 - yes changed the phases, output is the same

4 - yes the crossover cutoff is on the highest possible option

5 - yes i have increased the bass boost, the bass sounds a ton louder, however im afraid of clipping

6 - yes replaced my cheap rca cables with kicker brand rca

7 - no i havnt done this, and have no idea how to do it, i would need a tutorial or something.

Sorry btw didnt see all of the questions from my iphone.. Thanks

its 99.9 percent your sub out RCA output on ur headunit is bad. that happened to one of the radios i was putting in my boat. it wouldnt even feel like the sub was on when radio was on 30, i unplugged one of the RCA';s and it got its voltage back. try unplugging one of your RCA's to each one of the sub outputs on the back of your headunit and try switching em. i guarantee that has to be an issue. its either your headunit motherboard or your subwoofer outputs on the back of the HU.

but like i said, try unplugging one of the RCA's from either the left or right channel on the back of your HU and see if you get the voltage back and try switching em up. if that doesnt work then i think ur headunit is bad and not giving enough voltage unless u put ur bass boost all the way high

ok i just tried to ground my sub out rcas, i made an 8 around the 2 then secured the ground at a screw on the side on the head unit, still nothing...

I was afraid the rcas would be bad, but why is the sound output low, and not non existent?

Will a line driver work? instead of laying down 600 dollars for a new headunit

I give up trying to help you! what the hell does "tried to ground my sub out rca's"? mean? post photos of wiring and complete setup.
Pioneers suffer from this problem when they blow a pico fuse, a quick fix is to wrap wire around the rca's and then ground a screw on the back of the headunit. OP, are you sure you plugged your rca's into the right outputs?

Try these. Especially 7 ...

1) Make sure the subwoofer output is ENABLED in the pioneer headunit menu?

2) Set the subwoofer output level higher in the pioneer headunit menu?

3) Try changing the subwoofer PHASE from normal to reverse or vice-versa on the pioneer headunit menu?

4) Try setting the subwoofer crossover cutoff frequency higher in the pioneer headunit menu?

5) Try increasing bass boost on the pioneer headunit menu?

6) Replace the RCA cables from the back of the pioneer headunit to the sub amp?

7) Try grounding the RCA rings to the pioneer headunit chassis with a piece of wire to see if the internal pico fuse blew?

Do i need to ground all of the rca, or just the 2 for subwoofer. Jepalan i answered your 7 questions at the top of the page
thanks
Does your amp have a switch for the input voltage? For example my amp had a switch for mv to 2v and 2v to 8v... Also, do you have a multimeter to test voltage?
