HELP, my subwoofer was barely moving, so i bought a sundown sd 2 10 2ohm, and a new precision power bk650.1d. It is still barely moving at all. So i tried to connect my amp to my iphone instead using an rca to 3.5mm adapter, and it was hitting hard. So what exactly is the problem on my setup, the headunit is a pioneer avh p4100dvd which is only 3 years old and the subwoofer outputs have never been used, and it cant be the rcas because i just replaced them with kicker brand rca.

HEEEEEELLLLP

THANKS!

lol, just tinker with you h.u. controls, if you get it going nice with the iphone, its just a matter of adjusting your headunit... don't flip out!!

Its 4 volt fellas, that hu has a LOT of settings for sub out. Also the sub level goes from -24 (.01) to +6 (4.0) which is completely seperate from bass boost. Sub level controls the output voltage. Hope this helps

The subwoofer is set to on and the level is on 6, bass boost on 0, eq on flat. I only get a decent response if bass boost is on and eq is set to Superbass, I am really confused. Helllp it's been like a month now.

THANKS

Is your sub wired to the amp *exactly* like this:

Also - have you:

1) Made sure the subwoofer output is ENABLED in the pioneer headunit menu?

2) Set the subwoofer output level higher in the pioneer headunit menu?

3) Tried changing the subwoofer PHASE from normal to reverse or vice-versa on the pioneer headunit menu?

4) Tried setting the subwoofer crossover cutoff frequency higher in the pioneer headunit menu?

5) Tried increasing bass boost on the pioneer headunit menu?

6) replace the RCA cables from the back of the pioneer headunit to the sub amp?

7) tried grounding the RCA rings to the pioneer headunit chassis with a piece of wire to see if the internal pico fuse blew?
