OMG! A Soundstream XXX-10000D!

actually i think he was just putting that because it says 10000 on the amp. why couldnt they name it like 7000 or something closer to its ratings lol.

I have two of these I purchased from a close friend. These put out 10k at 1 ohm at 15 volts. We metered it to make sure. Due to new rules and laws in labeling of amps, amps now need to have accurate power ratings start 2006. No more just stating peak power and get people all excited.

Well essentially thats what it is, or at least thats what I have gathered from reading about it on soundpressure and term pro.
Pretty sweet ****. I wonder how much current it would draw @ 2 ohms.

I currently run two Kinetik 2400s with mine and when I burp it I get a voltage drop from 15.0 to 14.2. Also I have a HO alternator for my yukon.

In our other comp vehicle we noticed a voltage drop of .4 from 14.8 to 14.4 and no HO alternator on it.

Incorrect.

This is only true for those who state that are CEA2006 Compliant, which this one does not.

And it puts out no where near 10k watts @1ohm 15volts... hate to tell ya. Clamp it and you'll find out.

soundstream's model numbers aren't always related to output

the 6500D is the same as the lanzar opti4000D which nips 5000w rms @ 1 ohm

it's possible that power is CLOSE to 6500w @ 17 or 18 volts, but i think the model numbers are just numbers on soundstream amps

and i had a soundstream VGA800.5 that was 1200w rms.....

100w x 4 + 800w x 1

dont get me started on this again, there is no way your gettin 10k out of your amp!! I dont care who tells you it does, people running 18volts arent even seeing 10k. Not to be a pr1ck or anything but you swapped out your powerbasses for 1 ss10k amp and your hitting the same # + or - tenths. What does this tell you??? yea there is no way the voltage doesnt drop more than that at one ohm.
