Well essentially thats what it is, or at least thats what I have gathered from reading about it on soundpressure and term pro.

Pretty sweet ****. I wonder how much current it would draw @ 2 ohms.

Like:

we dont need any H/O alts for our competition vehicle. The class we are attending in db drag limits to one battery under hood. Where each burp we do at a comp, we will need to charge the battery asap, to hold upon that constant voltage reading (14.8-15v)

yup from lookin those amps dont look like ones u would use in a street vehicle........ and i figured it was thier 18v rating.

yeah im guessin about 5-6k for one amp at 14.4volts at 1ohm reactive
