Magnets have poles...woot you finally got one right...and the voice coils acts as an electromagnet with is attracted and repelled depending on the polarity of the signal...depending on the signal's frequency.....the sub moves in AND out at a certain speed... unless you put DC into it which it will the go one way and stay one way...most commonly seen by speakers as a cliped signal
so are you standing by your statement that your subs only moved into the box and not out?

and btw, you got a little confused. a clipped signal is when an AC signal starts to flatten out at the top/bottom like its becoming digital. this causes unwanted heat which damages the coils.

yea...digital is just on or off (1s and 0s) ..for the half second from the start of the flattened signal to the end of it, it might as well be DCV...if the sub dosn't move...its not cooling...if it dosn't cool it burns

no, they moved out but when wired properly the xmax was twice as much... im not a speaker builder or a tech, but it was so the case ... try it please... the first cycle of pulling into the box screwed everything up... i would of been in the 150s at least if they were moving the way they do now

look up XMAX ... the mechanical limit of the sub's travel in 1 direction... now go say you were trying to say somehting else... you've done it all night .. im not tech either but I know a hell of a lot more than you
