Older Guy

Help a older fella out, tell me if I did good for sound quality,I have not fooled with car audio stuff since Jensen Triax was the thing. going in a dodge ram 2500 quad cab Head Unit kenwood kdc-x891, amp Kicker KX-700.5 front speakers 6x9 Infinity triax Kaapas in rear door infinity reference 6.5 would have got kappas for rear door but would not fit also bought 2 kicker cvx10.2 with proform box, Now the question did I do good or did I get a bunch of junk that won't sound good together. Thanks for helping me out:(//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

That gear should sound pretty nice if installed properly. Look into sound deadening your doors to really make the infinity's shine. It can really make a huge difference. As far as the sub box, the one you listed should do the job but you might want to look into building your own.

tweets and midbass or lack of. The only pair ive remotely liked were the perfect. Never liked them till i threw alota power at them and they actually sounded pretty good

It will do well, but you are HIGHLY underpowering the subwoofers.

It will work out all right though, for what you want I suspect it will be more than you need. If it's just not quite good enough, next step would be sound deadening all the way around.

Keep in mind the CVX Kicker sub series can take a solid 750 RMS per sub...if the subs arent loud enough for you

I see that the Infinity speakers seem like a weak link on SQ I can take these back and exchange for something else, what do you all reccommend for door speakers
6 1/2" components in front, are you buying at a shop? If so what brands do they have

Oh they will definitely take more, but(no disrespect but assuming you're a somehwat stereotypical older guy) considering his needs, he wont need more than maybe a 1200.1 kicker or something in that range

I think I read somehwere about a guy running a CVX 15 off 2000w daily??
