old vs. new

I have an 02' 12" L7 in a nice box bad sony amp. Since it doesnt look like i am getting my new automobile soon enough i am gunna upgrade because the 02' L7 doesnt tickle my fancy. The wire running from the cone to terminal on the speaker makes noise so i was just thinking about getting an 06" 12" L7 putting it in the same box because its pretty good and getting a nice amp to put on it. Will there be a noticable difference between the old and new?

i wouldnt mix subs, but def go with the 06 l7's and a new amp. the new l7's fixed a lot of problems and that amp is crap.

yeah i no about the amp, but i saw some setups with different year subs but same kind in a setup, this would be a bad idea?

The subs might be the same style but they are different years and different versions and hence are not the same sub. You should not mix and match these

But in short, I'd agree with the above posters in recommending you not do it.

well how much should i send to an 06 12" L7? It says 750 but i put more than that to the 02. Can i send a good 1000rms to it?
