old skool MTX thunder 5000?

hey guys, i picked up 2 mtx 10" mtx 5000s at a pawn shop for fourty bucks with a homemade box, unknown if tuned or just slapped to gether but it was well built. there 8ohm subs and i was wondering if any of you guys could let me know if these are decent subs or not? everything looks to be in good shape but im a audio newb. but ya, can you guys fill me in about these subs as in how old they are and if there worth anything
