Old screw holes

So last night I had to take a sub out to do something and when I put it back in I couldn't find the original holes so I just made new ones I'm wondering if those old holes will cause me to lose any db? I. Actually got pretty close and now I'm worried about losing dbeez or the screws coming out because the hole is bigger I guess?

Ideally you'd seal the holes with caulk, but if they're covered up by the sub's mounting bracket you should be okay.

Alternately, get some closed cell foam (weatherstripping) from the hardware store and line the mounting bracket of the subs with it. It'll squash down when installed and improve the seal.

I actually have a roll of weatherstripping I can use. I think I'm gonna wait and see if the screws come loose and if they come loose ill just turn the sub a little and screw in new holes with new screws and seal the old holes.
