Old school Rockford hx2 and amp help?

I have one old school Rockford fosgate hx2 1000 watt rms, 2000 watt max, dual 2 ohm voice coils and a 1000 watt Rockford fosgate prime r1000-1d. I drive a 1997 Grand Prix gtp and was wondering if I needed a capacitor or anything special so I don't blow anything up or over power anything. Not sure how to wire these two together either.

dont get a cap they are more harm then good honestly you should only need to do the big 3 and be fine worst case scenario upgrade the front battery
