Old School Orion

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum and trying to get back into the car audio scene a bit. I have an old set of components that were used for about a week and have been sitting in my closet since I picked them up. I was going to put them in my current vehicle, but I don't think it is worthy of a good system and figured I would see what everyone thinks.

The set I have was made in 2000. They are the Orion HCCA 6s components. They are in perfect condition. I picked them up by luck as the vehicle they were in was totaled a week after the install and returned to the store after the owner failed to pay for them. I happened to walk in at the right time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Anyone have any experience with this set of components? Should I keep them or sell them? If I did decide to sell them, what are they worth? I can post pics if anyone would like to see them.

Aside from that, whats up to all and I look forward to learning what's new in the world of car audio.

yeah, I am familiar //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif It hasn't produced many interesting hits

Honestly, technology hasn't made any drastic changes in that amount of time. Run them and see if you like them. If so, keep them. Otherwise, sell them. I dont think there is any definitive answer to your question.

Run them you will be happy. These were the spawn from the concept 98.1 series from Orion. The MSRP back then was 799.00 for the 6's. If you are going to use the passive crossover, feed them 150w RMS.

IF you need a reference to a manual, I can help you out.

I will need to create a PDF for you because Orion recently reformatted their website, and now they do not have the manual in their support files.

Until I get it, anything in particular you are wanting to know?
