I have had this amp laying around for a few years dont remember where i got it from and i had no clue if it even worked. I hooked it up in my truck and to my surprise it still works like it is new. I have no clue what this amp is rated at there are no specs on the amp its self and i cant find any on the net. If any body knows anything about the old lanzar optidrive 2050 i would appreciate the info. thanks.

awesome thanks for the info on it. Are these known to be pretty decent amps. I had a buddy of mine he pretty big into ca that saw it on my table the other day and he got pretty excited about it wouldnt tell me anything about it tho. He offered me 60 bucks for it not sure if i should take it or not.??

I don't remember if that is 2 or 1 ohm stable. I think they had one that was a 2050 HC (IIRC) .25ohm stable..bad little dude.

I would not take $60 for it. Not to mention it is rated at 12v and what I meant by underrated, is you can expect 50 - 60 watts per ch at 14v, 250+ watts bridged at 4ohm.

They are so tightly regulated that they do the same power at 14v as they do at 12v.

To that, there is a review on one I posted on a dif site. Iirc it did 50 x 2 @ 4 ohms. This amp IS NOT stable below 1 ohm stereo/2 ohm mono and you will need a fan to run it at those impedances.

The Opti50c is a beast of an amp and that's the one rated to .25 ohms stereo.
