Sundown,DC,Audioque etc..

Being brand new to car audio, I came across alot of these brands that I have never heard about, but they seem to get high praises on the Forums. Looking at different Websites, I have noticed alot of the amps are similar from Sundown to DC and Audioque. Do they all use the same internals? Same Board? Are there any differences in the 1200 wRms amps...

Im not sure where they differ, but in my experience, you cant go wrong with sundown or audioque

Im really liking what I see with Sundown Audio. Do they do rated Power, and are they somewhat effecient?

They do more than rated and at least in comparison to other similar powered amps in the price range, I would also say they're efficient.

Back in the day I rolled with all the RF gear, but many seem to think that only the Power Line of amps is good. I wouldn't know but they sure are expensive. I have heard a few P3's over the last weekend and they sounded mediocre at best. Are the new Sundown amps released yet? SSA is all out of stock.

I assume, if you are looking for clean power, you are planning to run 2ohm and up? spec wise the DC is the winner in 4ohm efficiency, Sundown and Incriminator Audio share identical owner manuals, and very similar design specs, so I am assuming there is a connection there somewhere. Although it is said IA puts out more...never heard the Sundown, but i heard a IA 20.1 at 2 ohms and it sounded amazingly better than the AQ 2200D at 1ohm. The AQ is just plain old cheap power. American Bass is still at the top of their game with the VFL line as far as raw power after all these years.

the connection being that nick is a zenon dealer for U.S. and jacob buys his amps from Zenon through Nick which in turn.. has his own amps through zenon.

I should say to be fair, I was not knocking AQ, I own the 2200D that I swapped with the IA20.1 for a demo test. I should have said they are Reliable cheap power..but a little on the the dirty side as far as good SQ

I like the BD. Good power and reliable, but expensive. I have not heard the newer Bdcp constant power amps, but I like the healthy 4ohm wattage.

have been looking at SD line of Sundown Woofers due to the shallower mounting depth I have to work with.
