old school Fosgate 650

i used to have one back in the day...and wondered if it would be a good choice for a sq setup now days? I like it bacause it is multi channel and can run an entire system. Just was curious as to how it would stack up to the newer sq amps today

SQ is more-so based upon the driver and it's enclosure. Unless you're powering a 1000WRMS driver with a 200W amp or something of that nature. You can't always rely on an amps class or number of channels.

yes. the RF Power 650 from the 80's

Power from the Rockford back then was awesome. I wouldn't hesitate to run ANY Punch or Power series amp from back then in a SQ car to this day. Of course a little eq to take out the built in eq and you would be good to go, they dont make them like that anymore. Heck really almost all the high end brands back in the day are still fantastic amps. PG, Linear Power, Soundstream, hifonics, Lanzar, the list goes on.
