Old school Cerwin Vega Stroker question

Jus had a question about the pin in the middle of the stroker. i know that it adjust up and down but what is the best adjustment to set it at. right now its at the factory adjustment but i was just wondering what would happen if i was to adjust it? i know many people might not have experience with this sub but if it is anybody out there that has experience with this sub get in contact with me.
